About us

The original factory on the current premises was founded in 1873 by A. R. Breinl. In 1910 the factory reached approximately its current size.

In 1939-45, it was owned by Steunbing & Co., a toy-manufacturing company. However, due to the Second World War, the factory started producing grenades, sights for aircraft machine guns and artificial limbs.

In 1946 the factory was affiliated with PAL Ceske Budejovice and the production of car accessories started. These were wrenches and air filtration units – air cleaners with metal filters.

In 1949 control of the company was taken over by Metalis Nejdek, a national enterprise, and brake cylinder bodies were added to the existing line of products as a part of the cooperation.

Then control passed to Autobrzdy Jablonec nad Nisou in 1958. At that time, the company specialized in the production of fuel and oil cleaners with replaceable filters (paper, felt), as well as membrane cylinders, anti-frost pumps, brake cylinders and military products. The company's line of products was further refined and extended to include pneumatic cushioning, and special cartridges were added to the line of fuel and oil filtration products.

The national enterprise was transformed into a joint-stock company, ATESO Jablonec nad Nisou, in 1992. At the end of 1995, its Division 07 in Kraslice was privatized. Today, KORNET s.r.o., which became its successor company, has revived the factory's tradition and experience in the production of car accessories and has been successfully extending its business.
